1. What values where most important to the early Greeks and why were they considered so important?

From what i just experienced, reading about Odysseus's travels back to his town. There was Loyalty, ingenuity, and hospitality those three were the biggest trait in the Greeks life style, the least recognized was intuition.Loyalty for the Greeks was one of the important trait because for travelers or maybe a hidden king might come up to your door and might ask for a place to sleep and food, you must let them come in and stay the night. The Greeks really believed in this one trait. Another great trait was Ingenuity the Greeks had to be resourceful and skillful during long trips.They also had to be ingenue when they were in battle, thing through strategies and making plans.  

Minoas and Myceneaens

Minoans were a peaceful cheerful civilization they had no army, the high walls the protect them selves and they had no weapons. Minoans used mud brick to make some houses but the palace was built out of cold and bronze. The Minoans believed a one god, when someone died they would walk around praying for him or her. The Minoans had advance plumage. They had flushing toilets, running water and also they had a bath tube that fit the body and would be dumped when finished bathing. They had fountain in the middle of the room to keep it cool.The writing of the Minoans was not translated to this day, it was made of pictographs. But on the other hand there where the Mycenaean who where basically the opposite of the Minoans.

The civilization who would most likely survive in the periods of Greek history would be Mycenaean because they could protect them selves unlike the Minoans they had different beliefs and culture. There civilization was more i will kill and conquer unlike the Minoans which were like hippies and that's why the Minoans wouldn't survive.  


 

End of year reflection

I am cruzing through time and space until i land in Pre- historic Kenya. The first hing i see when i get out of my machine is a Homo Erectus running across the plane with a couple of his friends trying to hunt down a deer on the lose. I smell something weird, it smells like wet dog. Ahhh it must be the Homo's because they are all hairy and they also just ran though a river. Other then the disgusting smell i lay down in the glass, the glass is soft and moist, the soil is fresh and good for farming. 

Then the Homo's start running at me, and i think its time to go. "vroom" my machine goes away to a new destination. Woo ancient Sumeria. When i get out of my machine i see a priest, i ask where is your ruler he says, i am the ruler. In this time priests rule not kings. I could see a lot of churches and big walls that protected the city. I smelled people working and i could smell animals everywhere. I touched the walls, the walls where made of big bolder. Oh god, the mens guards are coming better go. Next stop Egypt, woo merchants and belly dancing. The first thing i see the pharaoh in palace. His palace was creatively alined with hieroglyphics. 

Oh no the ruler is sending evil spirits at me got to go bye! OK and for our second to last trip,India! Good food, and wild life. When i arrive i see lots of people, i hear the birds cheeping, i can feel the sweat air from the incense going around. Uh Oh shop venders are running toward me, time to go. Now to our last sight a archeological dig, in Kenya for the remains of a Homo Erectus house. The surroundings are the same as before. Thanks you for engaging in my story.   

Taj Mahal

The story of the Taj Mahal is one of the most inspiring stories i have ever read. It teaches you about true love and not just liking people of how they are but of how they act.

The Taj Mahal was built because the wife of the prince died. It all started when he was at war and she came with him, she was in labor. On the night of birth she delivered a girl but she was so tired and weak that she died, the last worlds that came out of her mouth before she died was, "show to everyone how much we are in love." So then he thought for many weeks and he was depressed for weeks and weeks because he didnt know how to show toeveryone. Until he had this dream that he and his wife where back together and in love. But once he woke up he figured it out, he would build a tomb to show to everyone how much he loves her. So he did. So the Taj Mahal is for her and it is her tomb.

  

Lost city of Mohenjo

The lost city of Mohenjo seems to be a very interesting and it is very developed. The thing about this city that amazed me was that it had streets and it also had a drainage system.

The city was pretty impressive but the thing that was a big bummer was that it had no temples, palaces and monuments. Another cool things about the city was that they had a watertight pool, which was called the Great bath.

 The pool was located on the top of a dirt pill. Which i dont get is that if the pool was a bath tub or was it a really big pool, because if everyone went int0o the Great bath that would be very unhygienic. The most interesting thing that i found was that the city was on elevated ground because elevated ground is one of the hardest to make a building or buildings.

Grade 7 Reflection

I am choosing three learner profiles, open- minded, communicator and thinker. When i was doing my map for Egypt i worked with Ergi. I was open- minded during that project because i herd and thought of Ergis and my plans to create our map, we figured out how to put our own style of drawing and working in one peace of work. Also in the project of the map i was a thinker, i thought of how i would color and decorate my map. I also had to think how to label and add all the little details in to the map. Like the mountain parts all the rivers and some lakes. A really important thing as well is that i communicated with Ergi, like to tell him if he is doing a good job or to tell him what i think about his work that he is doing. I would tell him to improve, so we would communicate to express our feeling to the work. So i really had to think, be open minded and communicate. So that we could complete the project with a high grade and also be proud of the map.

Civilizations are different for example, the homos they where surrounded mostly by rocks and trees and underbrush. They also might live next to special things, like water, mountains, food etc They had different ways do catch there food from other civilizations and different times. Like the homos hunted with spears, daggers and other weapons. But then in we go further in time, like the Egyptians they built big temples and they where smart where they lived, like water or they lived where there where a lot of animals for food. Egyptians also had different ways to catch there pray like, they used bow and arrow. They had some horses so they could move faster on the ground and attack. But if i went into things like Alexander the great and his armys and how they lived it would be totally different from the ways the Egyptians lived or the homos.

  In this piece of art there is a Human and has a head of a jackal. His name is Anubis he is the defender of tombs and of the Ancient Egyptian pyramids. In the picture Anubis is watching over a tomb which is on our right on the bottom corner. Also in the picture are hieroglyphs, the hieroglyphs in this piece of art say, "By Rafa" and on the other side it says, "STKP."  The importance of this picture is to show the placement of this Egyptian god and to show that life back then was hard just like ours today.
