Enheduana of Sumer

The Enheduana of Sumer i thought was very interesting and what it told you about the princes. The most interesting facts for me where about king Sargon. For example, "Sargon was considered the greatest of all the Akkadian Kings." That is a good fact. I also found that the art and the intensity of the art was really cool. But i would like to know more on how they made these artifacts, how they made such good detail.

Questions:

1) The books were written on clay with a pointy object called a stylus.

2) Her father lived in a  spanking new big palace. Her father was a farmer for the King Sargon.

3) Enheduana was a poet and best selling author in the Sumer land. She quiet her job because she had to leave and go to the priest to do her duties.

5) Enheduana wrote prayer and sold them to people around the city and in church.

Blog post on change!!!

Q:  From earliest times, people have changed their environments. How have people today changed their environment.

Back in the stone age, like the Homo Erectus they lived in Africa, they lived in the lush green forest and plains. But now it is dry and the grass is yellow and when the rain does not come the pounds and the streams get all dried up unlike before the rivers would stay filled up with fresh water and water you can drink with out being killed by some bacteria or virus.
People in 3000- 2000 BC they lived on the plains most people before lived on the plains, they only lived there because of the food/ animals. But not so long ago with the Aztecs or Maya they and others lived in the high mountains unlike the Ur.
So as i can see there has been a big change in the environment for now to all the way back then.

Why is Catal Hoyuk an important archeological find?

Catal Hoyuk was important find because it is one of the first towns to be found of the past. Catal Hoyuk was built in Turkey, 6500 BC. Catal Hoyuk had a population of 6000 people. The catal hoyuk houses were made of mud brick, the doors of these house were on the roof. The houses of these people were connected and for this it might of acted like a street so they could walk to the other persons house door on the roof. The Catal Huyuk were also important because they traded a lot of thing and thats how they got stuff, They domesticated animals and plants.

Reflection on Unit 2 test

Prehistory and Early humans

Describe how you prepared/ studied for the unit test.
(A) Do you think your studying strategies were effective- why/not
  • I think the strategy i use is really affective and i have used this method on many other classes other then Humanities. My strategy is to read the answers out load and then change the answers into my own word so that i remember them for a while.
(B) How will you prepare next time?
  • I will probably use the method i am using right now and i told you what it is above.
What was the most surprising thing you learned about this unit?
  • I would choose the Taming Fire unit because i was surprised that the Homo would go up to the forest fire without being scared and will go to it with a big stick and then the stick would be on fire, and then he would bring it to his camp site, to light his fire.
If we had more time to spend on Prehistory+ Early Humans- what would you want to learn more about?
  • I would like to learn more about Grunts and Grammar because i didn't find that much information on it and it would really be cool if we went into more detail and into videos about it and then i would really get a good incite on it.

Hobbits!!!!!

Who are Hobbits?

  • Who are hobbits, Hobbits are little people that are the hight of a four you old and they might have lived 1 million years ago, 3 million years ago or 12,000 years ago all of these presuppositions are by scientist and archeologists. In 2003, paleontologists went into a cave called Liang Bua on an island of Flores in Indonesia and found evidence of a population of tiny ancestral humans.
  • Scientists say that the tiny people suffered from microcphaly, a genetic disorder that produces an abnormally small brain and head. The hobbits had a wrist like an apes, there shoulder blades shrug slightly forward, feet long and flat.
  • So as you can see hobbits might have been really smart like the Homo sapiens.
