Julius Caesar

Was Caesar a great reformer or an ambitious dictator?

I think that Julius Caesar was both. At some times he was reformed. He was reformed because of some of the thing he did like he brought order and peace to Rome. Another thing he did was starting public jobs for the poor. But then on the other hand he acted like and ambitious dictator. For instance he started a civil war that led to the destruction of the republic. Another way he showed he was a Dictator was when increased the number of senators just so that he would have more supporters.

So as you can see Julius Caesar was  both a reformer and a dictator, because he was both i think that why he was so well know by the people of his time and the people of the present day.

Rome

Explain in detail how the geography and climate of the Italian peninsula affected the development of ancient Rome.

The way that the Italian peninsula was made, helped Rome. It gave it more movement to do trade, more ways to go to other plays to concur or to make an alliance. It also gave access to other bodies of water except the Tiber River for example the Mediterranean Sea, the Adriatic. So the Italian Peninsula didnt really effect Rome in its development to me, it didnt.
