The Ancient Olympics started very early in Greek history. The most read legends about the Olympics where about a chariot race. It was about a prince named Pelops who wanted to marry the daughter of the king. The king said, "You may marry her if you can get her and escape with me chasing you." The race between Pelops and the king was abruptly the axle of the Kings chariot had broke, the kings fell of and brake his neck. Legend says that Pelops cut the axle with his sword before the race.
The earliest written piece of the Olympics was about a man named, Coroebus. Coroebus won the 200 yard footrace in 776 B.C. Historian believe that Coroebus's victory was a start to ancient Olympics. The olmypics games ended in 776 B.C. to 393 A.D.
